This partnership not only constitutes a record partnership for any wicket in Ranji Trophy but also constitutes a record partnership for the third wicket in the Ranji Trophy. The previous best partnership for any wicket and for the third wicket was 594 runs unfinished partnerships between SM Gugale and AR Bawne of Maharashtra and Delhi at Wankhere in 2016-17
