Wasim Jaffers owns the record for highest individual innings in Irani Trophy

W Jaffer of Vidharbha scored 285 not out at the end of the second day of the ongoing Irani Trophy against Rest of India at Nagpur to provide the tenth occasion of a batsman scoring 200 plus runs in the tournament. All such occasions are tabulated below. He needs 15 more runs to become the first triple centurion in the tournament. GR Viswanath with his 200 not out for Karnataka against Rest of India at Ahmadabad in 1974 was the first batsman to score 200 plus runs in the tournament.
