GC Smith {75}, TL Goddard {60} and MA Taylor {59} are the three captain-cum-opening batsmen who have registered a half century before they were dismissed run out. TL Goddard of South Africa scored 60 against England at Jo’burg in Jan 1965 before he was dismissed run out. MA Taylor of Australia scored 59 against England at Brisbane in Nov 94 before he was dismissed run out.
