AB Barath of West Indies joined the select band of batsmen who have scored a fifty on test debut and ODI debut. He scored 50 on his ODI debut against Zimbabwe at Providence on 04.03.10. He had earlier scored a debut test hundred – 104 against Australia at Brisbane in Nov 2009. AB Barath is the 13th batsman to achieve this feat

AB Barath became the second West Indian batsman to achieve the feat of scoring fifties on test and ODI debut. DL Haynes is the other batsman who had scored 61 on his test debut against Australia at Trinidad in Mar 1978 and 148 on his one day debut against Australia on 22.02.78
