IPL 2010 : YK Pathan and RV Uthappa achieve personal milestones
YK Pathan of Jaipur became the eighth batsman to aggregate 1000 IPL runs in the match between Jaipur and Bangalore at Jaipur on 14.04.10. He reached the milestone when he was on eight during the course of his knock of 11. At the end of the game, his run aggregate stood at 1003.
He became the eighth batsman to total 1000 IPL runs. Others are SK Raina of Chennai {1255}, AC Gilchrist {1182}, SR Tendulkar {1094}, RG Sharma {1089}, JH Kallis {1088}, ML Hayden {1076} and G Gambhir {1036}
YK Pathan’s 1003 runs have come from 42 matches, 41 innings of which four were not outs. His highest score is 100 and has an average of 27.10 runs per innings. He has scored one hundred and seven half centuries. He has hit 88 boundary fours and 61 sixes.
RV Uthappa of Bangalore became the first batsman in the third edition of IPL to hit 25 boundary sixes. He hit his 25th six of the bowling of SK Warne {Jaipur innings 8.3 over} to cart him over long on in the game between Bangalore and Jaipur at Jaipur on 14.04.10.
He became the fifth batsman in IPL to score 25 or more boundary sixes in a single edition of IPL. The others are – ST Jayasuriya of Mumbai in 2008 {31}, AC Gilchrist of Hyderabad in 2009 {29}, SE Marsh of Mohali in 2008 {26} and YK Pathan of Jaipur in 2008 {25}
