Second ODI – Bangladesh vs Pakistan at Dhaka on 19.04.15 – Bangladesh won by seven wickets

 

Bangladesh won its third game against Pakistan in one day games and it was also the 90th win carved by Bangladesh in one day games. Bangladesh clinched the three match series 2-1 by winning the first two games.

 

Saad Nasim scored 77 not out in this game to provide the second occasion of a Bangladesh batsman scoring a fifty while batting at number seven against Pakistan in one day games. Shahid Afridi had scored 59 at Dhaka on 04.03.14. Thus Saad Nasim’s 77 not out represent the highest individual score by a Bangladesh batsman while  batting at number seven against Pakistan in  one day games.

 

Wahab Riaz scored 51 not out in this game batting at number eight in  this game to provide the first occasion of a Pakistan batsman scoring a fifty against Bangladesh while batting at number eight.

 

Thus Wahab Riaz’s 51 not out in  this game provides the  highest individual score by a Pakistan batsman against Bangladesh while batting number eight. The previous best was 46 not  out by Sarfraz Ahmed at Dhaka on 22.03.12.

 

Haris Sohail and Saad Nasim added 77 runs for the sixth wicket in this game to provide the sixth occasion of Pakistan batsmen posting a fifty plus runs partnership for the sixth wicket against Bangladesh in one day games. All such occasions are listed below

Saad Nasim and Wahab Riaz posted 85 runs in an unfinished stand for the seventh wicket in this game to provide the second occasion of Pakistan batsmen posting a fifty plus runs partnership for the seventh wicket against Bangladesh inn one day games. The first such occasion was at Faisalabad on 12.09.03 when Kamran Akmal and Mohd Yousuf had added 53 runs.

Mohammad Hafiz and Fawad Alam scored ducks in this game to provide the 16^th and 17^th occasion of Pakistan batsmen scoring ducks against Bangladesh in a one day game.

Fawad Alam became the second Pakistan batsman to collect a duck while batting at number five against Bangladesh in one day games after Asif Mujtaba who had failed to score at Sharjah on 08.04.15. Thus it took 20 years and 10 days for Bangladesh to dismiss a Pakistan batsman – batting at number five – for a duck!!!!!!

 

Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim added 118 runs for the third wicket in this game to provide the 60^th occasion of Bangladesh batsmen posting a three figure partnership against various oppositions in one day games. It also provides the 15th occasion of Bangladesh batsmen posting a three figure partnership for the third wicket in one day games.
