Batsmen batting at number five, six, seven and eight scoring fifties in a test innings in the annals of test cricket

JE Root {98}, BA Stokes {92}, JC Butler {67} and MM Ali {58} scored fifties in England’s first innings while batting at No.5.6.7 and 8 against New Zealand at Lord’s in the ongoing first test to provide the fourth occasion of batsmen batting at No.5.6.7 and 8 scoring fifties in a test innings in the annals of test cricket.  It also provides the second such instance at Lord’s – the first being England batsmen performing the feat at Lord’s in Jun 2011.
