Both the batsmen had an aggregate of 3000 plus runs. CH Gayle had an aggregate of 3078 IPL runs while V Kohli’s aggreate read 3048 IPL runs at the start of the match providing the unique occasion of both the openers having an aggregate of 3000 plus runs.  They scored 17 and 19 runs respectively in this  game and had an aggregate of 3095 and 3068  at the end of the game. Bangalore remains the only team in the Indian Premier League to have two batsmen with an aggregate of 3000 plus  runs
