CH Gayle become the first batsman to total 8000 plus runs in Twenty20 games
CH Gayle became the first batsman in the history of Twenty20 games to total 8000 plus runs. He had an aggregate of 7973 runs prior to the game between Jamaica Tallawahs and St Lucia Zouks at Kingston on 07.07.2015 in the Caribbean Premier League. He reached the landmark when he was on 27 during his knock of 64 not out in this game. At the end of this game, his run aggregate read 8037 which earned him the record of becoming the first batsman ever to score 8000 plus runs in the history of Twenty20 games. His 64 not out was his 67th fifty which includes 52 half centuries. His performance season wise is listed below
