CJL Rogers scored 173 and SPD Smith scored 215 while batting at number one and three respectively In the ongoing second test at Lord’s between  England and Australia to provide  the second  occasion of Australian batsman batting at number one and three scoring a 150 plus runs and a double hundred  in a test innings.  The first such occasion was witnessed in a test innings when WM Woodfull scored 155 batting at number  one and DG Bradman scored 254 batting  at number three against England at Lord’s in Jun 1930. Its just a coincidence that Lord’s has witnessed both the occasions. It is interesting to know the interval between the two feats is 85 years. The details are furnished below
