Rival batsmen batting at number three scoring identical scores in the history of one day games

AM Rahane of India and F du Plessis of South Africa batted at number three in the second one day game between India and South Africa at Indore on 14.10.15. Both scored identical score of 51 to provide the third occasion of rival batsmen batting at number three scoring identical scores in the history of One day games. The other two occasions involved Australia and West Indies.

The first such occasion was witnessed in the game between West Indies and Australia at Georgetown on 18.03.95. ME Waugh of Australia and PV Simmons scored 70 runs. Both batted at number three for their respective sides.

The second such occasion was witnessed in the game between Australia and West Indies at Canberra on 06.02.13. PJ Hughes of Australia and DM Bravo of West Indies scored 86 runs. Both batted at number three for their respective sides
