It is interesting to know that in all these three partnerships, TM Dilshan is one of the partners. This partnership not only represent the second three figure partnership by Sri Lankan batsmen against Pakistan for the first wicket but also the second three figure partnership for any wicket. This stand represents the best stand by Sri Lankan batsmen for the first wicket and also for any wicket against Pakistan. The previous best was the 100 runs partnership at Dub-DSC on 13.12.13

This partnership provide the seventh occasion of Sri Lankan batsmen posting a three figure partnership in T20Is and also provide the 92^nd occasion of batsmen posting a three figure partnership in the history of T20I and the 37th such occasion for the first wicket.

TM Dilshan scored ten boundary fours in this game and his aggregate boundary fours at the end of this game read 209. He became the first batsman in the history of T20Is to score 200 plus boundary fours. He went past BB McCullum’s 199 boundary fours. Prior to the start of this game, both TM Dilshan and BB McCullum were on par with 199 boundary fours.

LD Chandimal’s 58 in this game provides the 83rd occasion of a captain scoring a fifty in a T20I and also provides the eleventh such occasion by a Sri Lankan captain. It also provides the 24^th occasion of a captain opener scoring a fifty in the history of T20Is and also the fourth such occasion by a Sri Lankan captain opener in a T20I.

TM Dilshan {75 not out} and LD Chandimal {58} scored fifties in this game to provide the 46^th occasion of Sri Lankan batsmen scoring fifties in a T20I and also provides the sixth such occasion against Pakistan. LD Chandimal’s 58 in this game provide the second occasion of his scoring a fifty against Pakistan. The other occasion was his 56 at Abu Dhabhi on 25.11.11. Thus this knock gave him two distinctions – he became the only Sri Lankan batsman to score two fifties against Pakistan and also this knock was his highest score against Pakistan.

Umar Akmal’s run aggregate in T20I read 1611 at the end of this game. He became the fourth batsman in the history of T20Is to aggregate 1600 runs. Others are – BB McCullum {2140}, TM Dilshan {1751} and MJ Guptill {1666}

Umar Akmal’s T20I run aggregate on neutral soil read 909 at the end of this game. He became the second batsman to total 900 plus runs on neutral soil. Mohammad Shahzad of Afghanistan has a total of 1012 runs to his credit on neutral soil.

Umar Akmal now owns the record for most runs by a batsman on away and neutral soils. He has an aggregate of 1577 runs. He went past Mohammad Hafeez who had a tally of 1533 runs. Umar Akmal and Mohammad Hafeez are the only two batsmen who have an aggregate of 1500 plus runs on away and neutral soil.

Umar Akma’s two boundary sixes in this game gave him an aggregate of 51 boundary sixes on away and neutral soil. He became the fifth batsman in the history of T20Is to score 50 plus boundary sixes on away and neutral soils. Others are – CH Gayle {72}, Shahid Afridi {65}, BB McCullum {54} and SR Watson {53}

TM Dilshan’s 75 not out and LD Chandimal’s 58 in this game went in vain to provide the 195^th and 196th occasion of a batsman’s fifty in a losing cause in the history of T20Is and provide the 15^th and 16^th occasion for Sri Lankan batsmen. It also provides the 21st occasion of batsman’s two fifties going in vain and the second occasion for Sri Lankan batsmen. The first such occasion was against England at Chittagong on 27.03.14. TM Dilshan and DPMD Jayawardene had scored 95 and 89 in this game.

TM Dilshan’s 75 not out and LD Chandimal’s 58 in this game went in vain to provide the 80^th and 81st occasion of opening batsman’s fifty in a losing cause in the history of T20Is and provide the sixth and seventh occasion for Sri Lankan batsmen.

It also provides the 24^th occasion of both the openers of a team scoring fifties in the history of T20Is and provides the second occasion of a team losing a T20I when both openers scored fifties. The first such occasion in the game between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan at Bulawayo on 26.10.15. Afghanistan won this game by six wickets despite Zimbabwe openers Sikander Raza and CJ Chibaba scoring 59 and 54 runs respectively.

TM Dilshan has witnessed five of his fifties going in vain when he has opened the innings for Sri Lanka which includes his 75 not out in this game. He became the third opening batsman in the history of T20Is to witness five or more fifties in a losing cause. Others are – H Masakadxa of Zimbabwe {06} and DA Warner of Australia {05}. LD Chandimal’s 58 in this game went in vain to provide the 38^th occasion of a captain’s fifty going in vain in the history of T20Is and provides the fifth such occasion for a Sri Lankan captain. It also provides the eleventh occasion of a captain opener’s fifty in a losing cause and the second such occasion for a Sri Lankan captain. TM Dilshan’s 61 against India at Col-RPS on 10.02.09 had gone in vain
