DA Warner emulated CH Gayle in scoring 500 plus runs in three consecutive editions – 608 in 201, 733 in 2012 and 708 in 2013. CH Gayle and DA Warner are the only two batsman to score 500 plus runs in three consecutive editions in the history of IPL.

AB de Villiers requires 21 more runs which would fetch him 3000 runs in Indian Premier League. M Vijay {54 not out} and WP Saha {56} of Kings Eleven Punjab scored fifties against Mumbai at Vizag on 13.05.16 to provide the sixth occasion of captain and wicket keeper from the same team scoring fifties in the history of IPL. It is interesting to note out of the six occasions, five occasions have been witnessed in the ongoing edition of IPL 2016

V Kohli has been the captain on three occasions in such a feat while the pair of V Kohli and KL Rahaul has accomplished the feat on two occasions. V Kohli {100 not out} and KL Rahul {51 not out} are the only pair of captain-wicket keeper to score unbeaten fifties in the history of Indian Premier League. V Kohli’s 108 not out for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Rising Pune Supergiants at Bangalore on 07.05.16 was his 14th fifty at M Chinnnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. He now owns the record for most fifties on a single ground jointly with MA Carberry who also has scored 14 fifties at Southampton in the history of Twenty20 games. A Zampa became the fourth bowler in the history of Twenty20 games to witness the six wickets captured by a bowler going in vain. His figures of 4 for 19 for Rising Pune Supergiants against Sunrisers at Vizag on 10.05.16 in the ongoing IPL could not win the game as Rising Pune Supergiants lost the game by a narrow margin of four runs. A Zampa’s bowling figures of 4.0.0-19-6 represent the best bowling figures by a bowler in losing cause in the history of Twenty20 games. The previous best was by Aftab Ahmed of Denmark against P & NG at Abu Dhabi on 20.03.12. He had returned with figures of 4.0-0-22-6.

A Zampa became the fourth bowler in the history of IPL to witness five or more wickets captured by a bowler in a losing cause. JP Faulkner of Rajasthan, SP Narine of Kolkata and MM Patel of Mumbai are the other three bowlers who had witnessed their five wicket haul in an IPL game going in vain. All the four occasions are listed below.  A Zampa’s bowling figures of 4.0.0-19-6 represent the best bowling figures by a bowler in losing cause in the history of IPL. Previous best was JP Faulkner’s 4.0-1-16-5 for Rajasthan Royals against Sunrisers at Hyd-RGS on 17.05.13.
