V Kohli is in sight of two more landmarks in the history in the history of T20 games. He has scored 1490 runs in the calendar year 2016 as on date and prior to the start of the game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils at Raipur on 22.05.16.  Ten more runs would fetch him 1500 runs and with it the distinction of becoming the second batsman to total 1500 plus runs in a calendar year in the history of Twenty20 games. His feat would provide the third such occasion. CH Gayle has scored 1665 in 2015 and 1532 in 2012

Another distinction he is eyeing is the most number of fifties in a calendar in T20 games. As on date V Kohli and CH Gayle share this record. CH Gayle has to his credit 16 fifties in 2012, while V Kohli has also scored similar number of fifties in the ongoing edition of IPL.

One more fifty to him would fetch him his 17^th fifty in 2016 and he would own the record of most fifties in a calendar year in the history of T20 games.
