The only test which was on in this category of tests is by India against Australia at Kolkata in March 2001 due to VVS Laxman’s epic 281. India following on posted 657 for 7 and declared and skittled Australia all out for 212. India won this test by 171 runs. By a coincidence India was dismissed by Australia in its first innings for 171 runs which later became the victory  margin of the test and for India

India’s total of 657 for 7  in this test is a jointly shared record for a team scoring most runs in the third innings of a test after being asked to follow on and India shares this record jointly with Pakistan. Pakistan shares this record with Pakistan who posted 657 for 8 against West Indies at Bridgetown in Jan 1958. This was the test in which Pakistan’s opening batsman Hanif Mohammad batted for a record 970 minutes stay at the crease to score a mammoth 337.
