Ten plus wickets going in vain in tests – England bowlers – CR Woakes joins the list
CR Woakes’ 11 for 102 was in a losing cause in the just concluded Lord’s test against Pakistan to provide the 13th occasion of an England bowler’s ten wicket performance going in vain. It is interesting to note CR Woakes became the first England bowler to witness his ten wickets in a losing cause at Lord’s. All the 13 such occasions are listed below.

CR Woakes became the second England bowler to witness his ten for in a losing cause against Pakistan after NGB Cook. NGB Cook’s 11 for 83 at Karachi in March 84 could not save England losing the test to Pakistan
