Stats highlights – KPL 2016-M-07- Mangalore United vs Rockstara at Hubli on 19.09.16 – Mangalore United won by seven wickets

N Shekawat scored 106 in this game to become the fifth centurion of KPL. His century provides the sixth occasion of a batsman scoring a hundred in KPL.  The others are –

2. KL Rahul – 106* for Hubli Tigers vs Rockstars at Hubli on 10.09.14

5. MA Agarwal – 103 for Belgavi Panthers vs Hubli Tigers at Hubli on 08.09.15

N Shekwat became the second batsman to score a century against Rockstars in KPL after KL Rahul. KL Rahul had scored 106 not out at Hubli on 10.09.14

N Shekawat was concerned in two fifty plus runs partnerships – he added 60 runs with C Gautham for the first wicket and 91 runs for the second wicket in the company of SA Bhavane. These two partnerships provide the 22nd and 23rd fifty plus runs partnership posted by Mangalore United batsmen in KPL.

CM Gautham effected two dismissals in this game to take his total dismissals in KPL to 15. He became the ninth wicket keeper in KPL to effect 15 or more dismissals. Others are – RK Sabharwal {36}, NS Bhille {25}, BMV Uthappa {21}, DT Patil {19}, VST Naidu {18}, KC Avinash {16}, SH Kirmani {16} and RV Uthappa {15}

Mangalore United won this game by 53 runs to provide the eleventh occasion of a team winning a KPL by 50 plus runs margin. It also provides the  second such win for Mangalore United – the first being its 54 runs victory against Brigadiers at Bangalore  on 25.09.10

Match report – KPL 2016-M-07-Mangalore United vs Rockstara at Hubli on 19.09.16 – Mangalore United won by 53 runs

Rockstars lost its fourteenth game of KPL of the 15 games they have played in KPL. Put into bat, Mangalore United posted a near total of 200 plus runs – 195 for 3 to be exact. N Shekawat helped himself to a magnificent 106. He was concerned with two fifty plus runs partnerships – he added 60 runs with C Gautham for the first wicket and 91 runs for the second wicket in the company of SA Bhavane.- which formed the backbone of the Mangalore United innings.

Rockstars could muster 142 for 7 in its 20 overs leaving the Mangalore United victorious by 53 runs. C Teja {23}, M Mohan {32} and Ritesh Bhatkal {49 not out} were the three batsmen to reach double figures in Rockstars’ innings. N Bhareth, RG More and spinner Mitrakanth Yadav were amongst the wickets with two wickets each.
