RP Kadam scored his sixth fifty in KPL when he made 61 in this game. He became the seventh batsman in KPL to score six or more fifties. Others are – R Samarth {07}, MA Agarwal {07}, Mohd Taha {06}, RK Sabharwal {06}, RV Uthappa {06} and B Chipli {06}

RP Kadam and SN Raju completed 500 runs in this game. At the end of this game RP Kadam’s run aggregate read 557, while SN Raju’r run aggregate read 512. They became the 24^th and 25^th batsmen to compile 500 plus runs in KPL.

B Akhil scored 50 in this game which fetched him his fifth fifty in KPL. He became the 14th batsman to score five or more fifties in KPL.

It is interesting to note that B Akhil has appeared in four finals of KPL. This edition is the fifth edition of KPL. He did not appear in the finals of 2014 edition which was played between Belagavi Panthers and Mysore Warriors at Hubli on 12.09.1

His performance in the earlier three finals are as under : B Akhil captained Bangalore Provident Rural in 2009 edition against Belagavi Panthers at Bangalore on 23.09.09. Bangalore Provident Rural won the 2009 Edition of KPL by five wickets. He made 12 runs with the willow and captured one wicket conceding 18 runs

He also captained Bangalore Provident Rural in 2010 edition against Mangalore United at Bangalore on 29.09.09.  Mangalore United won the 2010 edition of KPL by 44 runs. B Akhil scored 7 runs and had figures of none for 19

He captained Bijapur Bulls in 2015 edition against Belagavi Panthers at Mysore on 20.09.15. Bijapur Bulls won the 2015 edition of KPL by seven wickets. B Akhil scored 36 not out and had figures of none for 13

In 2016 edition the finals was played at Hubli between Hubli Tigers and Bellary Tuskers on 02.10.16. B Akhil is represented Bellary Tuskers. He scored 50 and captured one for 16 in this game. Bellary Tuskers won this game by 35 runs

KR Kapoor was dismissed stumped in this game to provide the ninth occasion of a captain dismissed stumped in KPL.

RP Kadam {61} and B Akhil {50} scored fifties in this game to provide the first occasion of two batsmen scoring fifties in the final of KPL. It also provides the 24^th occasion of two batsmen scoring fifties in an innings in KPL.

Amit Verma’s aggregate of wickets in KPL read 34 at the end of this game. He now stands fourth in the list of bowlers who have captured most wickets in KPL. K Gowtham {47}, J Suchith {42} and R Vinay Kumar {41} occupy the first three places.
