V Kohli of India was dismissed hit wicket against England at Rajkot to provide the 19th occasion of a captain dismissed hit  wicket in a test innings in  the history of test cricket. All such occasions are listed below

V Kohli became the second Indian captain to be dismissed hit wicket in a test innings after L Amarnath. L Amarnath was dismissed hit wicket against West Indies at Chennai in Jan 1949. V Kohli emulated L Amarnath after a gap of 67 years.

BC Lara of West Indies remains the only captain in the annals of test cricket to be dismissed hit wickets on two occasions. He was dismissed hit wicket for 4 against South Africa at Cape Town in Jan 1999 and was dismissed hit wicket for 110 against Australia at Georgetown in Apr 2003
