SL Malinga became the first bowler in the history of Indian Premier League to capture 150 wickets. He achieved the  milestone in the game between Mumbai and Delhi at Delhi on 06.05.17. His 150th victim was SS Iyer whom he had caught by Harbhajan Singh for 3. He returned with figures of 2 for 7. His wicket aggregate at the end of this game read 151. It is interesting to note that SL Malinga has represented a single team in the Indian Premier League – Mumbai Indians.

SL Malinga is one of the two bowlers who have captured 300 plus wickets in the history of Twenty20 games after DJ Bravo. He has captured 319 wickets, whlle DJ Bravo has captured 367 wickets. Stats as at the end of 07.05.17
