JE Root of England joins the elite list of captains who have scored a hundreds on their first captaincy assignment

JE Root scored 190 on captaincy debut in the ongoing test match between England and South Africa at Lord’s to earn the distinction of becoming the 30th captain in the annals of test cricket to score a hundred on captaincy debut in the annals of test cricket.
