HH Pandya of India scored three consecutive sixes of the bowling of PM Pushpakumara in the third test against Sri Lanka at Pallekele to become the 12^th batsman in the annals of test cricket  to score three or more consecutive sixes  in a test innings. WJ Cronje has score three consecutive boundary sixes off M Muralitharan at Pretoria in 1997-96 in his  knock of 82.  HH Pandya  became the first batsman to score three consecutive boundary sixes in a test innings against Sri Lanka which was a three figure innings.
