V Kohli was playing his 50th T20I and became the 52nd cricketer to play 50 plus T20Is in the history of T20Is. He also became the fifth Indian cricketer to play 50 T20Is. Others are – MS Dhoni {78}, SK Raina {65}, RG Sharma {63} and Yuvraj Singh {58}

 

V Kohli run aggregate while batting second in a T20I match read 1016. He completed 1000 runs when he was on 76 during his knock of 82 in this game. He became the second batsman in the history of T20Is to score 1000 runs while batting second. BB McCullum of New Zealand is the other batsman with 1006 runs to his credit

 

V Kohli now holds the record for most runs by a batsman while batting second in the history of T20I matches. At the end of this game V Kohli has an aggregate of 1016 runs. The previous was 1006 by BM McCullum of New Zealand.

V Kohli celeberated his 50th T20I appearance by scoring 82. It was his 13th fifty when India has won the game. He now holds the record for most 50s by a batsman when a team has won a T20I game. He went past Mohammad Shazad of Afghanistan and BB McCullum of New Zealand who had shared the previous record with 12 fifties.
