AN Cook becomes the 13th batsman to aggregate 5000 plus runs on away soil

AN Cook’s run aggregate on away soil read 5223 at the  end of the Melbourne test. He completed 5000 runs on away soil when he was on 21 during his knock of 244 not out in the  just  concluded test at Melbourne against Australia in Australia. He became the thirteenth batsman and also the first England batsman in the annals of test cricket to amass 5000 plus runs on away soil.
