MA Agarwal {215} and RG Sharma {176} of  India scored 150 plus while opening the innings against South Africa in the ongoing test at Vizag to provide the second occasion of one of the Indian openers  scoring 200 plus runs and another opener scoring 150 plus runs in a test  innings. Both such occasions are tabulated below. The first such occasion was when MH Mankad scored 231 and P Roy scored 173 against New Zealand at Chennai in Jan 1956. It is interesting to note that MA Agarwal and RG Sharma emulated MH Mankad and P Roy after a gap of 63 years nine months
