Bangladesh script its first win in T20I against India – Stats highlights of the first T20I at Delhi
Bangladesh won this T20I by seven wickets. This was its first victory against India in nine outings. It also represents its 30th win in T20Is and also 27th win on away soil. It also represents its 13th win in terms of wickets margin.
India and Bangladesh T20I at New Delhi scheduled for today, that is, 03.11.19, will be numbered as the 1000th T20I game. As of 02.11.2019, the total number of T20Is played across the world read 997. Today, that is on 3rd November 2019, three T20Is are slated – New Zealand vs England at Wellington, Australia vs Pakistan at Sydney, and India vs Bangladesh at Delhi.

India capped Shivam Dube for today’s T20I against Bangladesh at Delhi. He became the 82nd cricketer to represent India in T20Is. He also became the 18th cricketer to represent India in T20Is at home.
He also became the second Indian cricketer to make his T20I debut against Bangladesh after PP Ojha. PP Ojha had made his T20I debut against Bangladesh at Nottingham on 06.09.09. Shivam Dube became the first Indian cricketer to make his T20I debut against Bangladesh at home.
India capped Shivam Dube for this game. He became the 70th cricketer to represent a team against Bangladesh in T20Is. He also became the 34th cricketer to represent a team against Bangladesh in T20Is at home.
This game will be the first International game to be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium has been renamed as Arun Jaitley stadium some time back after the demise of Arun Jaitley, the former President of DDCA. This game would be the sixth T20I game played at Delhi.
RG Sharma earned the record for scoring most runs in T20I. He has now an aggregate of 2452 runs. He went past V Kohli’s 2450 runs when he was on eight in his score of nine in this game. RG Sharma also became the most capped Indian cricketer in T20Is. This is his 99th game. He went past MS Dhoni who has played 98 T20Is
RG Sharma had played 318 T20 games prior to the start of the series. First T20I at Delhi is his 319th T20I. He now shares the record for most T20 caps by an Indian cricketer with SK Raina who has played 319 T20 games.
S Dhawan was dismissed run out for 41 in this game to provide the 236th occasion of an opening batsman dismissed run out in an innings in T20Is. It also provides the 17th occasion of an Indian opening batsman dismissed run out in an innings in T20Is
S Dhawan was dismissed run out for 41 in this game to provide the fifth occasion of his dismissed run out in an innings in T20Is an opening batsman. He became the first Indian opening batsman to be dismissed run out in a T20I innings on five occasions.
He also became the sixth opening batsman to be dismissed run out in a T20I innings on five or more occasions. Others are – H Masakadza {08}, WTS Porterfield {06}, Tamim Iqbal {06}, HM Amla {05} and MJ Guptill {05}
Bangladesh deployed eight bowlers in India’s innings in this game to provide the 36th occasion of a team deploying eight or more bowlers in an innings in T20Is.
It also provides the second occasion of Bangladesh deploying eight or more bowlers in a T20I innings. The first such occasion was against Pakistan at Dhaka on 27.09.11. It also provides the first such occasion by any team against India in T20Is

It also provides the fifth occasion of a Bangladesh wicket keeper scoring a fifty in a T20I. It is interesting to note that on all these five occasions, it was Mushfiqur Rahim who has scored the fifty
