It also provides the fourth occasion of an England captain dismissed run out in a test innings at home against West Indies.

It also provides the second occasion of an England captain dismissed run out in a test innings against West Indies at Manchester. MA Atherton was the other captain to be dismissed for an identical score of 22 against West Indies at Mancheter in Jul 1995.
