Shan Masood and Abid Ali scored ducks in Pakistan’s second innings in the just concluded test against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui to provide the  55^th occasion of both the opening batsmen scoring ducks in a test innings in the annals of test cricket. It also provides the fifth such occasion by both the opening batsmen against New Zealand in tests.

It also provides the ninth occasion of both Pakistan opening batsmen scoring ducks in a test innings and the first such occasion by Pakistan opening batsmen against New Zealand. All such occasions are tabulated below
