Chepauk – Chennai will become the first Indian venue to host two consecutive tests of the same series when it hosts the second test of the ongoing test series against England tomorrow. Due to pandemic Covid-19, Manchester and Southampton have already earned the distinction of hosting two consecutive tests of the same series.   Manchester hosted the two consecutive tests between England and West Indies in Jul 2020. Southampton hosted the two consecutive tests between England and Pakistan in Aug 2020

At the end of the ongoing test series, India would be earning a unique distinction in hosting two consecutive tests of the same series at two different venues – Chennai and Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad is set to host the third and fourth tests
