Second day – India Vs England – Second test at Chepauk
In Indian innings four batsmen scored ducks – Shubman Gill, V Kohli, I Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav – to provide the 26th occasion of four Indian batsman scoring ducks in a test innings. It also provides the ninth such occasion on home soil.
It also provides the tenth such occasion in a test innings against England and also provides the third such occasion against England on home soil. The other two occasions were – at Delhi in Dec 1976 and at Mumbai in Feb 1980
Kuldeep Yadav failed to score and faced 15 deliveries. His scoring duck after facing 15 deliveries provide the 34th occasion of an Indian batsman scoring a duck after facing 15 or more deliveries. It also provides the 12th such occasion against England and second such occasion against England at Chepauk. CPS Chauhan batted 15 deliveries scoring a duck against England at Chepuak in Jan 1973.
