JC Archer returned with figures of 4 for 33 in this game to provide the 12th occasion of an England bowler capturing four or more wickets in an innings in T20I. It also provides the second occasion of an England bowler capturing four or more wickets in an innings in T20I against India. JW Dernbath was the other England bowler to capture four plus wickets against India. He had returned with figures of 4 for 22 at Manchester on 31.08.11 against India.

It also provides the first occasion of an England bowler capturing four or more wickets in an innings in T20I against India on away soil.

Washington Sundar returned with figures of none for 52 in this game to provide the 16th occasion of an Indian bowler conceding 50 plus runs in an innings in T20Is. It also provides the second occasion of an Indian bowler conceding 50 plus runs in an innings in T20Is against India. Joginder Sharma’s none for 57 at Durban on 19.09.07 provides the first occasion of an Indian bowler conceding 50 plus runs in a T20I innings against England.

Other two batsmen to score 100 plus boundary sixes on home soil are – MJ Guptill of New Zealand {103} and C Munroe of New Zealand {82}. V Kohli is close behind to join this exclusive club with 48 boundary sixes on home soil. He needs two more boundary sixes for his 50 boundary sixes.

JC Archer’s four for 33 in this game was in a losing cause to provide the second occasion of an England bowler’s four wicket haul in an innings in a losing cause in T20Is. Prior to this PD Collingwood’s four for 22 against Sri Lanka at Southampton on 15.06.06 had gone in vain.
