Both the openers scoring centuries in an innings in the annals of test cricket
Sri Lankan openers FDM Karunaratne {118} and HDRL Thiruamanne {131 not out} scored centuries on the first day of Palekkele Test against Bangladesh to provide the 77th occasion of both the openers scoring centuries in the same innings in the annals of test cricket.
