P Nissanka of Sri Lanka scored 103 against West Indies at North Sound in the first test of the just concluded two series, to provide the 110^th occasion of a batsman scoring a century on debut in the annals of test cricket.

It also provides the 16^th occasion of a batsman scoring a century on debut against West Indies. All such occasions are tabulated below
