Only four Indian bowlers have captured 1000 wickets or more in First Class matches. BS Bedi, S Venkataraghavan, A Kumble and BS Chandrasekhar are the four bowlers who have achieved the feat. It is interesting to note that only BS Bedi has captured 1500 plus wickets in First Class matches – 1560 to be exact. BS Bedi is the only bowler to capture 100 plus five wicket hauls among the bowlers who have captured 1000 plus wickets in First Class matches
