She now shares the record for most fifties by a batswoman in the World Cup with DA Hockley of New Zealand.  DA Hockely had scored twelve fifties.

It is interesting to note that Mithali Raj’s first fifty came in the World Cup played in 2000 Women World Cup played in New Zealand. She made 69 not out against South Africa at Christchurch on 30 Nov 2000. DA Hockley’s 12^th fifty in World Cup came in 2000 2000 Women World Cup played in New Zealand. She made 53 against India at Lincoln on 09 Dec 2000
