This game was abandoned due to rain interference to provide the first occasion of an abandoned game without a ball being bowled in the history of the T20 World Cup.  Prior to this there were two games abandoned with toss and considered as No result matches. The distinct difference between a match abandoned with toss and the match abandoned without a ball being bowled is the playing eleven in the games which are abandoned with toss will get the match counted in their career figures while the playing eleven in the games which are abandoned without a ball being bowled will not get the match counted in their career figures. All the three occasions are tabulated below.
