India is eager to win its third World Cup while Australia is eyeing its sixth World Cup win.  India has won the World Cup in 1983 and 2011, while Australia was victorious in the following 1987-88, 1999, 2002-03, 2007-08 and 2014-15 editions

Three more runs would fetch him 1744 runs and with it he would occupy the second place in the list of batsmen who have scored most runs in the World Cup. He would go past RT Ponting’s 1743 run aggregate to occupy the second place. SR Tendulkar with 2278 runs to his credit occupies the first place

Indian fieldsmen other then wicket keepers have pouched 296 catches in the World Cup. Four more catches by Indian fieldsmen would give them 300 catches. India would then become the third team in the World Cup to have 300 plus catches by its fieldsmen other than the wicket keepers. Australia {338} and New Zealand {328} are the other two teams to have 300 plus catches through their fieldsmen other than the wicket keepers.

V Kohli has pouched 19 catches in the World Cup. One more catch would fetch him 20 catches and with it he would become the third fieldsman other than the wicket keepers to pouch 20 plus catches in the World Cup. Others are – RT Ponting {28} and JE Root {25]
