PW Hasaranga’s four for 17 in a T20I between Sri Lanka and New Zealand at Dambulla on 10 Nov 2024 was in a losing cause to provide the 165th occasion of a bowler’s four plus wickets going in vain in a Twenty20 International. It also provides the ninth occasion of a Sri Lankan bowler’s four plus wickets going in vain in a Twenty20 International. All such occasions are tabulated below
