JE Root becomes the fourth batsman in the annals of test cricket to score 40 centuries
JE Root of England scored 138 not out against Australia in the ongoing test at Brisbane which represents his 40th century in an innings in a test. He became the fourth batsman in the annals of test cricket to score 40 plus centuries. Others are – SR Tendulkar {51}, JH Kallis {45} and RT Ponting {41}. JE Root’s century at Brisbane represents his first century on Australian soil. All his centuries are tabulated below
