JM Anderson of England became the England’s first bowler to capture 400 test wickets. His 400^th victim was New Zealand opener MJ Guptill whom he caught by  IR Bell without scoring in the ongoing second test at Leeds.  He returned with figures of 2 for 41 and his aggregate wickets read 401 at the end of New Zealand’s first innings.
