CH Gayle scored 90 not out representing Jamaica Tallawahas against St Kitts and Zouks at Gros Islet on 28.06.15 in the Caribbean Premier League 2015 to register his 50^th half century in Twenty20 games. He now owns the record for becoming the first batsman to score 50 half centuries. He followed his 50th fifty with one more half century by scoring 72 not out against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at Basseterre on 30.06.15 which gave him his 51^st half century.  All his half centuries are listed below.

 

He is also on the threshold off becoming the first batsman to total 8000 runs in the history of T20 games. As on date his  run aggregate reads 7965 runs and needs 35  more runs for 8000 runs.
