I had stated that the Karnataka-Tamilnadu encounter was the first game to be completed in two days which is incorrect. According the C Keshavamurthy – the domsestic Dada in Cricket stats, there are two more games. He was kind  enough to inform me this  through a email which is reproduced below

It has been stated that the TN/Knk match was the first RT match completed in two days – actually the TN/Knk QF match which ended in two days on 24.12.2016  provides the THIRD quarter final RTM ending in two days – of which one is a conceded match – here are the links for the other two QFs ending in two days –

http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/35/35817.html – Har/Ben at Calcutta – Ben won by ings & 4 runs

http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/21/21903.html – Del/Mum at Delhi – Del conceded the match

There may be other RTMs (not necessarily knock out matches) which might have ended in two days – since there are over 4500 RTMs I shall take a look and let you know when I finalise it.
