SW Ambris’ unique distinction

SW Ambris of West Indies joined the select band of batsman who have been dismissed hit  wicket on their test debut. He was dismissed hit wicket for a duck against New Zealand in the ongoing test at Wellington. He became the eleventh batsman to be dismissed for a duck on test debut. He became the third West Indies batsman to be dismissed hit wicket on test debut after HS Chang and CS Baugh. He is the only batsman in the list to score a duck. It is also interesting to note that he became the first batsman in the annals of test cricket to be dismissed hit wicket for a first ball duck on test debut
