HV Patel of India was dismissed hit wicket for 18 in the third T20I against New Zealand at Kolkata on 21 Nov 21 to provide the second occasion of an Indian batsman to be dismissed hit wicket in the history of T20Is. Prior to this KL Rahul was dismissed hit wicket against Sri Lanka at Col-RPS on 12 Mar 2018. Both such occasions are tabulated below. It is interesting to note that KL Rahul and HV Patel have scored identical runs – 18.
