Thus the 72 runs stand between AB de Villiers and JA Morkel constitutes a record stand for the fourth wicket by South African batsmen in ICC WT20. The previous best was 65 runs between MV Boucher and JM Kemp vs New Zealand at Durban on 19.09.07

JA Morkel is the only South African batsman to be dismissed run out on two occasions in ICC WT20 – for 2 vs Pakistan at Nottingham on 18.06.09 and for 40 vs New Zealand at Bridgetown on 06.05.10

JA Morkel’s 40 represent the highest individual score by a South African batsman amongst the batsmen who were dismissed run out in ICC WT20.

HH Gibbs pouched three catches in this game to become the ninth fieldsman to pouch three or more catches in ICC WT20.
