DPMD Jayawardene becomes the sixth batsman in the history of one day internationals to score 24 or more ducks. The other five are ST Jayasuriya {33}, Wasim Akram {28}, M Muralitharan {25}, WPUJC Vaas {25} and RS Kaluwitharana {24}.

It is interesting to note out of the six batsmen who have scored 24 or more ducks in one day game, five are Sri Lankan batsman, the other being a Pakistan batsman in Wasim Arkram.

AD Mathews registered his second half century in one day games, the first being his 52 not out against Zimbabwe at Dhaka {SBNS} on 12.01.09

TT Samaraweera and AD Mathews added 127 runs for the sixth wicket in this game providing the 1755th three figure partnership posted by batsmen in the history of one day games.
