Azhar Ali with his 81 not out in this game earned the distinction of carrying the bat through in a completed innings. He became the ninth batsman in the history of one day games to perform such a feat. He is the second Pakistan batsman to carry the bat through completed innings after Saeed Anwar. Saeed Anwar had performed such a feat by scoring 103 not out against Zimbabwe at Harare on 22.02.95.
