SR Tendulkar added one more feather to his cap during his innings of 76 not out at the end of the first day’s play against Bangladesh at Chittagong on 17.01.10. He aggregated 1700 boundary fours to become the only batsman in the annals of test cricket to aggregate 1700 boundary fours. He reached the milestone when he hit Shakib Al Hasan for a boundary four, which was his sixth four of his innings. He collected the ball from outside the off stump and hit against the turn with a slog sweep over midwicket for four.

MV Boucher of South Africa completed 5000 runs when he was on 66 during his knock of 95 against England at Johannesburg in the fourth and final test.
