He now holds the record for most boundary sixes by an Indian batsman in one day games. He has scored   196 boundary sixes. He went past SR Tendulkar’s 195 boundary sixes.

MS Dhoni has scored 189 boundary sixes while representing India. He shares the second place with SC Ganguly who has also scored similar number of boundary sixes. The first place is owned by SR Tendulkar who has scored 195 boundary sixes.

MS Dhoni owns the record for most boundary sixes by a captain in one day games. He has scored 125 boundary sixes. He went past RT Ponting’s 123 boundary sixes to own the record

MS Dhoni became the 21st batsman in  the history of one day game to total 4000 plus runs while batting in the second innings of the game. At the end of the Mohali game, his run aggregate read 4073. He also became the sixth Indian batsman to accomplish such a feat. Others are – SR Tendulkar {8720}, SC Ganguly {5209}, V Kohli {4656}, R Dravid {4566} and M Azharuddin {4469}

MS Dhoni is  one of the three cricketers who have batted in their team’s 100 plus wins. The three cricketers are – RT Ponting {165}, MS Dhoni {109} and AR Border {107}. Thus MS Dhoni – at the end of Mohali game – occupies the second place in the list of cricketers who have appeared in their team’s 100 plus win
