Out of the  20 T20I games which were on the last ball of the match, only five matches have been won with a last-ball boundary six. RG Sharma completes 7000 Twenty20 runs

RG Sharma’s run-aggregate at the end of the finals of Nidahas Trophy against Bangladesh on 18.03.18 read 1852. He now occupies the fifth position among the highest run-getters in T20Is. MJ Guptill {2271}, BB McCullum {2140}, V Kohli {1983} and TM Dilshan {1889} are the four batsmen who have scored more than RG Sharma in T20Is.

RG Sharma became the second Indian batsman to total 1800 runs in T20Is after V Kohli. V Kohli has an aggregate of 1983 runs.

RG Sharma registered his 16th fifty in T20Is when he scored 56 in this game.He now shares the second place with MJ Guptill for most fifties in T20Is. The first place is occupied by V Kohli with 18 fifties.

RG Sharma registered his 14th half century in T20Is when he scored 56 in this game.He now shares the second place with MJ Guptill for most half-centuries in T20Is. The first place is occupied by V Kohli with 18 half centuries

RG Sharma became the second Indian batsman to score 16 or more fifties in T20Is after V Kohli. V Kohli has scored 18 fifties.

YS Chahal’s aggregate of wickets in T20Is read 35 wickets including the three wickets he took in this game. He became the third Indian bowler to capture 35 plus wickets in T20Is. Others are R Ashwin {52} and JJ Bumrah {41}

With the win against Bangladesh, India carved its 61st win in T20Is. India now occupies the second place in the list  of teams which have won most T20I games. The first place is occupied by Pakistan which has won 74 games. India went past South Africa which has won 60 games to occupy the second place.

India won its eighth game against Sri Lanka by winning this game. India and Pakistan share the record for winning most games against Bangladesh in T20Is. Pakistan has also won eight games against Bangladesh in 20Is

RG Sharma completed 7000 runs in T20s when he was on 26 during his knock of 56 in this game. At the end of this game, his run aggregate read 7030. The only other T20I which has witnessed such an occasion was the T20I between South Africa and Australia at Johannesburg on 16.10.11.  Australia batted first in this game and the batsmen who batted at position number two and three in Australia’s innings are – MS Wade and SE Marsh – both left handed batsmen. South Africa now owns the record for having captains scoring centuries on most occasions in the history of T20Is. Previous record in this category of statistics was held by Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan captains have scored half centuries in T20Is on 13 occasions

South Africa now shares the record for   most half centuries by a captain in a losing cause with Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka has also witnessed seven occasions of half centuries scored by its captains going in vain.
